Match the item before comparing the price
Open the product page and compare its title, identifier where available, product type and photographs with the card you selected. A familiar thumbnail alone is not enough: a listing can contain several versions or change over time.
If the link opens an unrelated product or a general collection, choose another candidate rather than guessing which item was intended. The spreadsheet guide explains the different category, product and directory links.
Confirm the exact option and its contents
| Product | Check the selected option |
|---|---|
| Shoes and clothing | Size system, selected size, colour, model or version, and the chart attached to that listing. |
| Bags and accessories | Dimensions, colour, description and included straps or smaller accessories. |
| Perfume | Bottle volume, concentration label, version and included packaging. |
| Sets and multi-item listings | Quantity and exact contents; a starting price may describe only one piece. |
For clothing and shoes, use the measurement guide. Matching the model name does not settle the size, and matching a size label does not settle the fit.
Separate a visible page from confirmed availability
A page can display a photograph and price without confirming that the source seller still supplies your chosen option. Adding it to a cart or creating an order is another stage; neither should replace a clear answer about availability when the listing is marked expired or the wanted option is missing.
Stop at an expiry warning and resolve it before payment. Ask whether the original item can still be purchased from the original listing, whether the exact option is available and what happens if it cannot be obtained. A similar item should be assessed as a new choice, not treated as an automatic match.
The blog feature on why a checkout page does not prove stock explains preorders, fulfilment locations and the difference between an order and ready stock.
Record the payable option and the photo type
Select the intended option, quantity and domestic delivery before comparing its amount with a saved card price. If they differ, use the confirmed current amount in your cost record. A saved estimate is not a fixed GTBuy price.
Check whether the photographs are seller images, inspection references or pictures of your order. The QC guide explains the distinction. A reference picture of a similar item does not resolve a missing version or colour.
Handle a changed or unavailable listing
- Page unavailable: use another candidate or wait for a clear availability answer.
- Selected option unavailable: confirm an alternative deliberately rather than paying for a different size by accident.
- Details changed: compare the revised title, option, price, measurements and photos again.
- Order cannot be sourced: confirm cancellation and the refund process before accepting another purchase.
Save the link, selected option, relevant screenshots and any clarification with the order record. That preserves what you agreed to buy if a listing changes later.
